Once upon a time, there lived a screenwriter who came up with the brilliant idea of retelling "Little Red Riding Hood" as a sexy tale about a teenage girl and a werewolf. The resulting movie, directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), stars Amanda Seyfried (what big eyes she has!) as Valerie, the stand-in for Little Red, and Shiloh Fernandez and Max Irons as two handsome brooders vying for her attention. One of them also may be the werewolf terrorizing Valerie's village. There's only one way to solve this mystery, of course: To Grandmother's house she goes!

Aaron Eckhart stars as a tough Marine Staff Sergeant commanding a platoon that counts Michelle Rodriguez, Ne-Yo, and Lucas Till among its members. The movie was inspired by World War II's "Battle of Los Angeles," during which L.A. residents were led to believe they were under attack — though in reality the incident was a false alarm.

Apparently, men really are from Mars — and they have no qualms with abducting women from Earth. There's a shortage of maternal love and care on the red planet, which leads the Martians to begin mom-napping. When Milo's mum (Joan Cusack) is snatched, the kid (Seth Green) decides to travel all the way to outer space to get her back. The 3D, performance-capture animated caper was directed by Simon Wells, who previously helmed movies including The Prince of Egypt and An American Tail: Fievel Goes West.
